Illustrations in this web site are for purchasing guidelines only. Manufacturing changes can result in variations to illustrations. All images are protected by copyright and cannot be used elsewhere without prior written consent from the owner of Smashing Cakes.

All measurements and capacities are approximate and can vary due to manufacturing changes.

The depiction of colours is as accurate as reproduction allows.

Delivery of illustrated merchandise is subject to availability and Smashcake cannot be held responsible for delays. Any merchandise in the web site may be discontinued without notice.

This web site is for the general information in order to purchase items, and whilst all care has been taken, information in this web site is not to be taken as a substitute for specific advice. We accept no responsibility for any person who acts on the contents of this website.

Price

The price for your Smash Cake will be agreed once your designs have been discussed. The minimum charge for a Samsh Cake is £25 which does not include delivery charges or special design requests.

Payment

You agree to pay a £10 non-refundable deposit via Paypal and the balance is to be paid by cash on collection or delivery. The £10 deposit will be deducted from the total price of the cake once the order is completed.

Orders

All Smash Cake orders needs to be confirmed by email atleast 3 days before collection/delivery along with the deposit. Please note that if you would like me to ‘save a date’ in my work calendar for your Smash cake, I will require a confirmation email from you as soon as possible, to ensure I do not over-book or double-book cake orders for that date/week. However, no date is secured until the deposit is paid.

Collection

A signature is required upon collection confirming that you have received your order in good condition and as specified.

Delivery

All delivery times are subject to availability. If you have a specific delivery date and require delivery before a given time, please specify this when placing your order. Samshing Cakes will try to accommodate your requirements.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have given Smashing Cakes correct delivery information, and that someone is available to receive their cake. A signature will be required for the receipt of the order upon delivery.
If the recipient is not in, the order will be returned to Smashing Cakes who will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery time for which an additional charge will be payable by the customer. Smashing Cakes accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred by the customer as a result.

Please also note that delivery is charged at £5 within a 10 mile radius of postcode SO30. Any further a field, delivery is not available and the customer will have to collect.

Storage of your Smash Cake

Smash Cakes are not meant for the refridgerator as this can cause the shell to blush or crack, however they can easily melt in warm conditions such as inside a marquee on a hot summer’s day, or when set up in direct sunlight. Smash Cakes are best stored at room tempersature. Once the cake has been collected or delivered and signed for, Smashing Cakes is unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter. If a cake is to be delivered by Smashing Cakes, a signature will be required from you, confirming the cake has been received in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure by Smashing Cakes to verify that the cake has been delivered or collected in good condition.

Cancellations/refunds

It is with regret that once a deposit has been paid, it is non-refundable. It might be possible to re-schedule the cake collection for a later date or make amendmets to the order if at least 36 working hours written notice is received, detailing the changes. Please call to discuss any changes to your current order.

Images

Photographs will be taken of all cakes created by Smashing Cakes. These images may be used at any point in the future to asisit in marketing and advertising by Smashing Cakes including its website or social media pages.
